Suitable for: 7+

Flotilla helps you make reactive and interactive projects – a robot, digital pet, weather station, anything you can think of! Flotilla is designed to progress with you as your skills develop. You don’t need any coding skills or electronics knowledge to get started, you can simply plug and play. For beginners Flotilla has Cookbook and Rockpool, two web-based apps which you can access from your computer or tablet. They let you experiment, learn, and build without writing a single line of code. For anyone who’s done a little programming before Flotilla also supports Python and we’re working on support for Scratch.

We are a company of Makers and educators based in Sheffield, UK. Creators of the Pibow case (150,000+ sold worldwide) for Raspberry Pi and the UK’s largest Adafruit reseller. We manufacture all our own products locally. We started with a laser cutter and a kettle. In our first six months we added five large laser cutters to help keep up with the demand. Since then we’ve launched Picade (the UK’s first Kickstarter project), set up a learning portal, increased the range of products on our shop, grown our team and are supporting our second successful Kickstarter project, Flotilla.
